About Deathloop

Deathloop game was released in September of 2021, developed by the award-winning studio Arkane Studios (responsible for many magnificently artistic worlds), and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is a first-person shooter deadly game where the player, to follow the main storyline, will assume the place of the assassin Colt.

The game brings many elements from Arkane’s previous successes, Dishonored and Prey. You can decide the approach to your gameplay, varying from an offensive playstyle, with guns blazing towards your enemies, to a secure one, stealthily sneaking to their backs to guarantee the kill. Also, your decision directly impacts the game, changing the game’s campaign course.

Many different online stores offer Deathloop, such as the Steam Client, Epic Games Store, and Humble Bundle. But, in RoyalCDKeys, you will find the Steam key for the best prices on the market, allowing you to download Deathloop on the most famous gaming platform.

Alongside Deathloop,  you can find both Dishonored CD Key and Prey CD Key on our site! Deathloop is coming to the next-gen consoles as Arkane and Sony partnered to give the game a PS5 version.

The game developers released two Deathloop versions: Standard and the Deluxe Edition. The standard one comes only with the game.

The Deluxe edition hasn’t that many new features, giving players the original soundtrack, a pair of trinkets, two skins (one for Colt and his rival Julianna each) and two weapons. As the Deluxe edition has no significant benefits, RoyalCDKeys opts to offer the game’s standard version for a better price.

Deathloop Story and Background

When you experience Deathloop’s main story, you wake up in a beach, at the Island of Blackreef, with no memories of how you got there. Then, you find out you’re stuck in a mysterious timeloop. Your mission is to end the cycle by assassinating eight key targets before the day resets. Their deaths are your only chance to break the loop and escape the Island of Blackreef.

You are about to discover that there are two rival assassins stuck in the time loop. That way, the Deathloop two rival assassins – Colt and Julianna.- are presented. While Colt follows his mission to end the loop, Julianna interferes with his plans, frustrating his attempts to kill the targets. Besides, she tries to eliminate Colt, putting a bullet in his back.

Julianna aiming with a sniper

Every time Colt fails to kill all the eight Visionaries or dies in the process, killed by Julianna or anything else, the deathloop restarts, with him awakening in the same day again. But what Colt learns is that his memories from the last loop remain with him. That said, every new loop is an opportunity to draw conclusions and finally break the circle.

Deathloop Gameplay and Mechanics

Deathloop has a single-player gameplay injected with deadly multiplayer. While playing with Colt, you can opt to keep your campaign in single-player mode, making the multiplayer experience completely optional. That way, you can have Julianna controlled by AI (artificial intelligence).

But, if you are feeling devious, you can assume Julianna’s stylish sneakers, invading another player’s campaigns to prevent him from killing eight main targets. Invading other players makes the game completely unpredictable.

While stuck on the island of Blackreef, you will have to make use of all experience and knowledge you learn from each cycle. As each day resets, gather intel, and discover new weapons and abilities to end the cycle. Try new paths to avoid Julianna as well, as you can’t become easily predictable when hunting your enemies down.

Colt shooting an enemy

Where others would see a stylish wonderland, Colt sees a prison. A lost world ruled by decadence where death has no meaning, and delinquents party forever while keeping him captive.

Deathloop presents you with emergent gameplay, where you use otherworldly abilities and savage weaponry.  You must utilize every tool at your command to execute takedowns that are as striking as they are devastating.

Right now, it’s time to prepare your arsenal, choose your loadout wisely, discover new secrets, multiple pathways, and adapt your strategy while attempting to get your eight targets. As you are trapped in a mysterious loop, repeat it, try new paths, gather intel all again to change things. Everything is valid to regain your freedom.

Deathloop Features

Besides the single-player injected with multiplayer, that is for sure the main feature that makes Deathloop different from any other title. However, the game also has other aspects that make it stand out. The first one to highlight is the original take on the FPS genre.

Even though it is an FPS, it has a different and unique approach. The idea of dying to improve and learn even more is unusual and has never been explored before. That said, the approach, as well as the idea itself, make the game unique. The gameplay “forces” you to draw the right conclusions from your past mistakes.

The world has a retro-future set, mixing elements from future and past. This creates a unique environment, where you can see not only decadence and delay but also modernity and advance. To complete, Arkane developed a feature presented to the public in Dishonored 2. It offers two-character gameplay, but, this time, with considerable differences in playstyle.
